Welcome to Support Base 2

Autumn Term

This term we are learning ‘All About Me’. We are going to go for a walk in our local area and explore all our surroundings which will include the Police Station, Library, Park, Church and local shops. We are going to say if they are physical or human features. We have painted pictures of out school and homes.

After the October half term, we will begin to look at journeys to the Past and Toys.

Our Science topic is Living Things and Habitats.  So far we have looked at habitats around the school on our bug hunt. We found ladybirds, wasps, bees, spider’s webs and spiders. We saw lots of berries and trees. We are going to make some bug hotels and hopefully we will get to see more insects. After Half Term,  we will look at Materials and their Properties.

Looking for habitats and mini beasts

We have been doings lots of work on counting and adding. We have been learning our Number Bonds to 5, 10 and 20.

Number Bonds to 10

In Literacy our story is ‘A Squash and A Squeeze’ by Julia Donaldson. We are going to read, act out and perform some of the story and do some writing around it.
