History- What was it like to live in the Iron Age?

Around 800 BC people in Britain learned how to use iron. This discovery had a dramatic impact on everyday life. Iron made farming much easier than before and settlements grew in size. Use the following link from BBC Bitesize-

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zrv4dty

Watch the videos to find out more about life in the Iron Age, their forts and the development of tools. Complete the activities on the Iron Age and then research the different tools that were developed during this period. Create a leaflet showing the different tools and weapons they used. You could even recreate one of them using tin foil.

Science- Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy

There are two types of energy: renewable and non-renewable. Use the link below to watch the videos and read the extracts that describe what each of the energies are. Once you have done this, complete the three activities focussing on renewable and non-renewable energy.

Mr Wilson's Weekly Challenge

https://vimeo.com/432849156

This week's challenge is all about throwing and aiming skills. It will test you on your coordination and concentration. It will also help you to understand that rushing a task is not the easiest or best way to get the job done. All you need is a bucket (or something asimilar), lots of socks (not smelly ones!) and a timer.

Extra Activities

- Would you rather be able to read minds or be invisible?

-  Design and make an obstacle course in your garden. How fast can you complete it? Can your family members complete it in a quicker time?
