Welcome to Support Base 3

Autumn term

In the autumn term we are learning about Natural Disasters.  We will be learning about volcanoes, hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters.  The children will be making their own erupting volcanoes.

This term we are also learning to play the ukelele as part of our music curriculum.

Spring term

During the Spring term, our topic will be Passport to Europe which will involve lots of work using maps to find different countries in Europe and the children will have opportunity to experience different cultures, customs and food!

We will also be going on our annual residential visit to Lockton.  This involves the children learning some valubale life skills including road safety and team work whilst also developing their self help skills.

Summer term

During the summer term we will be learning about the Ancient Romans including their way of life, clothing homes and of course weapons.  Hopefully, we will be able to organise an educational visit to support their learning too.

Home Learning

Please support your child to read every night.

Please encourage your child by helping them to learn their times tables.

Homework will be given on a Friday to be returned by the following Friday.

Class Notices

Please support your child in ensuring that they have their book bag, reading book with reading log and home-school book in school with them every day.

PE  kit needs to be in school on a Monday and can be taken home on a Friday.  PE kit is a white t-shirt, navy or black shorts and plimsolls.  Hair should be tied back and earrings removed.  Please ensure your child has outdoor shoes with them for PE during the summer term.
