Welcome to Support Base 1

Welcome to Support Base 1!

In our class we learn in a very practical way through play and sensory exploration to make our learning fun!

We carry out a range of exciting activities every day. These include: phonics, opportunities to develop fine motor, sensory exploration, understanding the world around us, number songs and numeracy based activities. We adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of every child in our class. We have a stimulating and play-based environment to encourage our children’s imagination and to promote communication. We follow a structured timetable, with opportunities for active learning.

We hope you check back regularly to see what we have been up to!

We carry out lots of fun activities in SB1:

We enjoy teaching our skills to our friends!

We love to explore mark-marking and writing.

We are good turn-taking!

We enjoy learning outside!

We enjoy exploring Numeracy in a practical way!

Home Learning

We are learning about food and how it grows. We are going to plant some seeds and send them home over the next few weeks. It would be fantastic if you could get your child to draw a picture to show us the plant that the seed has grown into!

Please can families write in communication books after every weekend and half term, so we can see what your child has been up to? We love talking about the things we do at home! We will be sending daily reading books and weekly home activities to do with your child.

Class Notices
