This year's Governor Writing Competition will be on Non-fiction so watch this space!

Autumn term

Children were involved in creating their own poems and reciting poetry, as part of National Poetry day. Poetry is also ongoing throughout the year, as children thoroughly enjoy working in groups to perform or recite poetry.

Spring term

World Book Day is on Thursday 2nd March - you will be informed about how the school will be celebrating closer to the time. Every child will be given a book token to spend in your local supermarket. Children will be involved in a range of activities during Shakespeare Week including reading playscripts and poems from Shakespeare and acting out some of his most famous plays. Summer term

It's that time of year again! Children can enter into the Governor’s Creative Writing Competition! A child from each phase will be chosen as a winner.

Spellings

Each year group will have a list of spellings that they are expected to learn.
